It's a Beautiful Day in the neighborhood

Last week Scott got an Award from the Fred Rogers Foundation(as in Mr. Rogers) for Innovation in childrens programming. The whole family went to a ceremony for Him . It was so awesome. Elmo hosted and Mrs. Rogers handed out the award. They showed some footage of Mr. Rogers and I have to say I got choked up. I was a huge Mr. Rogers fan. It was so cool to se how he devoted his life to the children of the world. Then they showed a clip of YGG and all the kids in the audience went crazy. But not as crazy as when Lance and Brob.... came on and danced. Max ran up on the stage and got the party started with his breakdancing. I was so proud of Scott. He totally deserves this.

HOORAY! and congratulations a week later.. so stoked for you. Which by the way I could totally see Scott coming home each day like mister Rogers with a cardiagen, and changing from outdoor to inside shoes and changing vest.. Congrats to the whole Schultz gang, extended family included, who are dedicated to making the world more awesome.

Congratulations on that award! I am a huge fan of Mr. Rogers......he was a GREAT man who truly loved children. Wow....what an honor for Scott!!! I didn't realize that Max was a breakdancer : )

I think that Scott (and you, too, Ruth) are just coming into what you guys both deserve, and have earned.

Congrats again.

Congrats! I love being able to say you all are part of our family. You both are so talented!

Hey Cathy said you thought of Mikey at a Paul Frank sale. SWEET! Thanks so much. He is the coolest kid in nursery because of the last set of clothes you got him at Christmas time. thanks for remembering us.

I am so stoked for you and glad you blogged about it. My mom was telling me all about it and I told her, I wonder why she didn't tell us about it. Then you posted! Way cool. I kinda got choked up too.

This is incredible. I'm thrilled for you guys. I know Scott has been plugging away at this for a long long time and he totally deserves his due. My kid would have "freaked" (well, actually, he would have repetitively said 'mama! in an elevated pitch) if he were to see Brobee live. Ahh.

So, I'm scared to know what I was listening to in 1993. Ugh. Probably a ton of Sarah Records wuss (but still good) rock. Here's my current ear candy -- www.acertainromance.com.

PS - Thanks for the kind words about Coen. We're going to get there. Time is fortunately on our side...
