This is the classic Schultz trick that Nancy obviously forgot. It's called "Hey lets make a funny face " knowing full well you are going to smile normally. You've been warn
Like I said in previous post i went to Mesquite with the in-laws.It was a lot of fun. It's kinda like an EFY. My sis in-law Amber was in charge. She did a great job. The highlights were Cafe Rio, Playing cards til 3 am and just catching up with everybody. The only bummer was the spring break traffic on the way home(8 hours yikes).
This weekend i went away with all the girls in Scott's family to mesquite. You probably would think that we had had so much fun, but apparently not as fun as Max and Scott. They went to Nickelodeons kid choice awards. Of course Scott had no details and recognized no one(except usher, weird). But Max had so much fun and was so worried that Ollie didn't get to go. He even asked for an extra gift bag for "his brother who didn't get to go". I was so proud of him. Max s' highlights were meeting the creator of Spongebob, seeing Han Solo get slimed and break dancing at the after party.
Apparantly my toes have a death wish.Today while finding some old photos I pulled down an album and a plastic three ring binder fell and sliced my second toe on my left foot. Not to be confused with the broken toe on myright foot. It wasBLOODY! I couldn't look at it without getting faint.(I guess i'm a light weight with blood)So I called Sarah and she helped me out. Thanks Sarah. So now I'm totally gimpy. And yes I still somehow managed to take a picture of the bloody mess. Sorry my blog is now PG13.
Some of you already know about this, but for those who don't i wanted to give a shout out to my friends baby line called GEELA. They make the CUTEST baby stuff! They are currently selling on Etsy. They have slings, wraps, changing pads and other goodies. Julia just showed me their new sling made out of knit. Even though i own a sling i bought this one too cuz it's AMAZING! It just hugs Harper perfectly. And I think it breathes better. So if you have a baby check it out at geela.etsy.com
Doesn't this picture say it all? Max looks so happy. I think he is only this happy when he's under water(and playing video games). The weather is so nice right now it almost feels like summer. Unfortunately the pools aren't heated yet. I REALLY enjoy the summertime. The beach, sleeping in, no schedules, reunions, and i love the sun. Only 3 more months to go.
Today is Easter. It's Harpers first one. And I have to say I think he really enjoyed himself. Mommy and him had an amazing nap together. And I'm sure he was drinking chocolatemilk thanks to all the cadbury eggs I ate. Today was Ollies Actual Birthday. I guess easter will not fall on this day for another hundred years or so.
Remember when I used to blog every day?! I guess Life catches up to you. I got back from Mexico(I will blog later about that one). Then I got sick. So there you go. I have to catch you up on my exciting life. Saturday we had a birthday party for Ollie and Max. It was a YO Gabba Gabba party. We had a bounce house, cotton candy machine and a special guests came....DJ lance and Muno and we had a big dance party! It was soooo much fun. Ollie and Max had a blast! Thanks to every one who helped me pull this off. I realized what great friends and family I have , they are always willing to help. So thanks everyone!
Tomorrow me and the boys leave for Mexico. My sister Beth and I are meeting my parents and 2 of my brothers in San Felipe . I'm a little nervous about the 9 hour drive and having no Husband to help me. But I'm excited to show my boys the place I grew up going to. I think Scott is a little bummed that we're going to be gone 5 days. Is it bad that if he told me he was taking the boys for 5 days I would be excited. Seriously I would live it up! So For the masses that read my exciting blog I won't be posting for a while. The picture above is of me and Scott messing around on photobooth.
I just broke out the Baby einstein DVD's to see if Harper would be into them . I guess I should've never put them away cuz Max and Ollie are captivated. They are analyzing each toy wondering where we could buy them. Then Max said "Wow this movie was really easy to make. All you have to do is film toys to music." Scott will be so proud of him.
Today I got to watch my niece Ruby. She is the BEST baby. But she definitely loves to find the most dangerous thing in the house and try to play with it. She somehow even makes common household objects dangerous. Bravo Ruby, bravo.
I think my toe might be getting worse . You be the judge. If it's doing the same tomorrow I probably will go to the doctors . Scott says he can't wait to say "I told you so". He thinks I should have went to the Er. Whatever
Julia invited me to go shopping with her today at Irvine spectrem. I was so excited to be out of the house and with another grown up. What could be better? But what started as a perfect day quickly turned to crap. I was holding Harper on a bench and I could smell that he had an explosion in his pants. I got up too quickly and my foot slammed on the bottom of the bench! #@!^*%$ is what I yelled in my head, but I played like nothing happened. Well it started to swell and turn purple and by this point I needed to get my son a diaper fast. So I limped into Target to make the purchase when midstore my stomach started to gurgle. Oh crap! Literally crap. It seemes like Harpers explosion was spreading. I needed a bathroom ASAP. I kinda made it (but kinda not). This day really sucks. I am just thankful for my bro-n-law Dr. B who hooked a sister up on some pain meds.(what what)
Let me tell you about my little boy Harper. I love him. He just can't wait for you to look at him so he can give you a smile. Motherhood has turned me into a total dork. I apologize.
Max has turned 7!!! It's hard to believe my little boy is that old. It's even harder to believe that I'm saying the typical mom "I can't believe my child is that old"line. So I really tried to make his day special. Scott and I brought doughnuts to his class at break. He was so excited. He took Scott on a tour of the playground. At lunch I came back with pizza and a cupcake. Then after school, Aunt Beth took him and Ollie to Mcdonalds. Scott picked him up from there and took him miniature golfing. Then the family came over for cake and ice cream. He got his big present, a nintendo ds!
(which I don't know if I love it our hate it). He said it was his best day ever.
Max had his first baseball game! WOOOOOW! Bless his heart. I'm thinking sports is not his thing. But I think he had fun. His coach put him on third base. I kept praying that the ball wouldn't be hit to him,but of course the very first ball went straight to him. He ran after it and threw the ball in the air to no one. Then when he went up to bat they got him out at first, but that did not stop him from running straight to second. It was pretty funny watching him.
Sunday night Max lost another tooth. It started off just a little wiggly in the morning and by night Max had the pliers to rip that sucker out. Apparently he needs the cash. So we did our little tooth fairy routine which includes a tooth fairy story and we usually store the tooth in toothy, this tooth pillow I made him. Lights out nighty night. At 6:30 in the morning I wake up in terror because I realize I for got to put money in the pillow! I scrounge through my purse and I only have a twenty!!!! I wake up Scott and luckily he had a five(which is still too rich for my blood) but better than $20. 7:00 Max woke up screaming FIVE DOLLARS!!!He ran into my room so excited telling how the tooth fairy is now giving $5 . I quickly replied I know she told me that since it's your Birthday on Wednesday she wanted to give you 3 more dollars, how cool is that!
So I guess I'm little late on the blogging circuit. I've always been a little intimidated to do one. I'm not very witty, I type one word a minute and if it wasn't for spell check you would have thought Max was typing this. But I figure since I'm horrible at writing in my journal, now I can be horrible at updating my Blog too.
I am "the mom" to 3 boys and a little girl. Through taking a microarray test, we found out that my Davy girl has a rare chromosome deletion. I have written this out in hopes to find others who have any similiar conditions.
Davy has a microdeletion of 1p31.1-1p31.3. She has panhypopituitarism, a cleft lip and palate, Congenital heart defects(asd, vsd, pda and had a CoArc). She had a surgery for malrotation of the intestines, and a g-tube put in to feed her. She has GERD with esophagitis dysphagia. She is on multiple medictions that need to be given round the clock. Three of those she will need for the rest of her life. To read about her journey start here.
