the boy in the box

Ollie recently told me it was his life long dream to sleep in a box. Who am I to deny him the Hobo life he so desires?
Every month when we get Davy's medical supplies shipped to us, Ollie asks if he can have the boxes. I mean we practically live in a box ourselves, so adding more is very suffocating. So I usually say, play with them outside.
This week when we bought Davy her new big girl car seat, the box had Ollie drooling, so I let him set up camp for the night. It was pretty cute and it kept him and Harper entertained for hours. I kinda wanted to keep it.

There is nothing better to play with than a box! Glad you gave in and got them occupied for awhile.
Your children have the most beautiful eyes!

I totally laughed out loud imagining him drooling over boxes. I love your kids' imaginations!

That is hilarious! What a fun thing to do. I always loved when my mom would bring the kitchen table into the living room, and let us sleep underneath it. :)

Seriously…boys don't need toys. They just need a big box and some imagination. Mason made a boat last week. Pretty cute!

Seriously....even my hubby loves when we get something that comes in a big box. Boys just never grow up. Future Hobo's Of America unite!!!! LOL

I love that you took pics of the boy in the box. I recall Stella at the age of four having a love affair with some boxes for a solid hour. I took pictures as well and they're still some of my favorite photos of her. ;)

We have a rocket ship made from two boxes that I have taped back together again 9,567 times...that has been a part of our lives since last October, at least.

Love the pictures! It does't take much for Ollie to be entertained

it's nice when a life long dream can be fulfilled so inexpensively......

Have you ever read the children's book "Christina Katerina and The Box"? It was one of my favorites as a kid, and now my kids love the book- all about playing make-believe with one big box. I love that he said it was his "life-long dream"! Now he can check it off his list!
