The first day of our road trip was spent at The Calico ghost town. It's a fun little trip you can take with the Fam on your way up to Vegas. We mined for gold(the boys think they're rich now), went on a really slow train ride, walked through the mines and had some sasparilla. We also went and got candy from the sweets shop. They had candy cigarettes in there. Remember those?!! I always wanted to buy them when I was a kid. Of course my mom would never let me. I can't believe they still make them. I kinda wanted to get them but now my husband wouldn't let me.
Ollie is smiling here but seconds before this he declared this ride boooooorrrrriiiinnnng! I think he was expecting thunder mountain at D-land.

Way cute! I forgot about doing the ghost towns. My dad took us to ghost towns when we toured with his peforming group and I've never known where to go for that. Now it's a must. Can't wait to see more!
