On Surgeries eve

We had a talk with our boys about how Davy was having a surgery to repair her lip and nose tomorrow. Max seemed sad and wanted us to wake him in the morning to so he could say good bye. And Ollie was saying how he was gonna miss her big smile, " Mom she has the bestest smile out of all of us, I'm gonna miss it. " It was a rough couple of days. I let my emotions get the best of me. But now It's game time and I'm putting on my momma bear suit. I am not messing around now DR. J,  so watch out. No, but seriously Dr. J,  I know you said that this was the largest unilateral cleft you have ever dealt with, so please, please take extra care of my big clefty. Take your time in there, no rush OK.
I can't imagine this face getting much cuter though?  Good bye my clefty.

Surgery is Tomorrow at 8:30 am. Please pray for her.  And calling all guardian angels, she/we need you to be with her every step of the way. Please comfort her and if you got time I could use some comfort too.

Oh boy, it's happening right now... I have tears in my eyes and can't wait to hear how she's doing. My 8 year-old daughter thinks Davy is almost as cute as her 'baby' brother (who will be THREE in January), which is HIGH praise. Those eyes of hers... you could drown in those pools. Best wishes!!

We will be praying for Davy, you, and her doctors. We'll miss her wide smile- but her life will change immensely and for the best tomorrow! Remember- you may not recognize her little smile tomorrow, but here gorgeous eyes will be all you need to see to know your precious girl is still there- just in slightly different packaging!

God Bless You!

I am reminded of a saying... 'Everytime a bell ring, an angel gets its wings'... Well, I've got my BELL bracelet ON and it is ringing like crazy today. All of those angels will undoubtedly be watching over Davy today! All you have to do is BELIEVE... and we all do that everyday. Have faith that everything will go according to our Heavenly Fathers plan... that's all we can hope for in this life.

My prayers are being sent out to your family and the Dr's and nurses working with your baby girl! You are an amazing mother and inspire me! My baby girl is only 4 months old and leaving her in the NICU after a rough delivery for 4 days was hard so my heart is with you! Davy will do great! And PS your boys are adorable and the fact that they see all the beauty in their sister shows what love you have instilled in them...so stinking cute :)

I am a day late! :-( Your post has me tearing up. I can't imagine what you are going through.

I took my three year old to a Yo Gabba show (which was awesome, btw) this afternoon and realized that Davy had already had her surgery. I hope it all went well and just know that I am praying NOW for a wonderful recovery. Looking forward to hearing about how well she is doing.
