All is well....all is well

Just quick blog to thank you for all the kind messages. I read all of them while waiting for Davy. They were a great source of comfort. She had prayers coming in from all around the world and everyone of them has been answered. She is home and doing well and I am doing well. I will post way too many pictures, along with a detailed story very soon.

Davy has been on my heart a lot this week. Not as much as yours, I'm sure, but still. I have a 7 month old so it all hits very close to home. My prayers are with you, your family, and of course little Davy!

SO happy to hear your beautiful Davy and your family are doing so well.

I wanted to share that my step father and one of my step brothers were born with cleft palate. When my step father was born in 1948 it of course was not as common to take hundreds (or in my case thousands :) of pictures of your little ones. But my grandmother has baby pictures of her other sons and there is none of my step dad. She was embarrassed of his clefty smile. The first time I heard that I could not control my sobbing. It absolutely breaks my heart that my step dad has no photos of him as a baby.

All babies are beautiful and I LOVE that you document Davy's life in such a wonderful way. You and Davy are incredible lucky to have each other in this world.

I wish Davy a quick and healthy recovery from surgery and can not wait to see her new smile!

I usually don't click out of the comfort of my Reader to comment, but wanted to let you know that I have been a long time blog follower (love your photos! they sucked me in...). Anyway, my true point: I saw the photo in my Reader and my throat got tight. Prayers for you and your beautiful daughter - her big clefty smile always made my heart melt, but this will help her in so many ways as she grows. Thinking of you and your family!

I am so glad she is HOME! I was happily surprised to read that. Hopefully you can all rest and recover. We sent you a little something in the mail so be on the lookout for it. I started to make Davy something, but it quickly turned into a disaster so I need my mom to help me fix it. We have been praying for Davy and for you and your family. I know it can be stressful for little boys but everything will come out alright.

I am also blessed to have a "clefty" baby. She is now 6 yrs old and reading your blog has brought back soooo many memories for me. They are such special kids that have to endure so much. Her smile will never look the same, but you will love it just as much! Thank you for sharing your story! Wishing Davy a speedy recovery!
