Old Yeller

Sorry folks, I have been awfully quiet on the ole blog. But I have a very good reason though. We put our home on the market....as in we are selling it. Wow, what a stress ball selling your home is. Trying to keep 900 square feet clean with 4 kids is dang tough. I have learned through this process that I am a total slob and keeping my house spotless 24-7 makes me crabby. Like
really crabby. I have basically shown my house everyday for 2 weeks straight. But last Monday we accepted an offer. So we signed papers and it's a done deal. The only problem now is we have to find another house. We thought we had a house, but it was a short sale and we have been dealing with banks which is like dealing with robots.....long story short they didn't accept our offer. So if we can't find a place by June 8th, we will be moving in with my in laws, god bless em! Believe when I say I am more scared for them then I am for us.
I actually really love my little home, I am really sad to leave it. I am sure I will weep like a babe on June 8. But this family of 6 has outgrown you Old Yeller. Please pray for us. I am finding it very difficult to find the right place for my large family.

P.S Excuse number 2 for not blogging was, I started watching Downton Abby(I know i am WAY late on this one)That did not help matters. I knew when I started it would ruin my life. or should I say my children's life. Dang good show. Do your self the favor and watch immediately!!

We are almost in the same boat. I am pregnant with number 4 and we are selling our home. I was crazy showing it, we got an offer and accepted and everything is ready to go there. We have to be out by May 31st. The home that we want is a short sale and we're still in the process of negotiating with the seller. So, if we aren't done by May 31st, we're...homeless. Did I mention I'm due May 21st? I'll pray for you! You pray for me! Deal!?

I applaud you for lasting that long in 900 square feet and not selling your children out on the street corner to the lowest bidder. ;)

Just watched Season 1 twice and loved it! I neglected my kids for two days straight but it was for a good cause.

Saw Yo Gabba Gabba on Cupcake Wars last night, was hoping to see you and your husband!

Congrats on selling the house. Is it still a hard market to sell in? Good luck on finding another house! The girls are excited to see you guys. We'll miss Old Yeller too.

Bless you! I hope you find a great house soon! We once sold our house with five kids at home. One Monday a realtor called at 8:00am. He wanted to show the house at 9:00. I had just dumped a week's worth of dirty laundry on the floor in the kitchen to sort. The house was a wreck after the weekend and all I wanted to do was sit and hold my baby. I turned him down and he got very indignant. He literally chewed me out! Guess what? MY HOUSE! Ha! We sold it just a few weeks later, so there.

we totally understand your life right now. We are in the middle of packing to move during our busy life. I think the whole "slob house" thing must be genetic (I've been dubbed pigpen for the past 10 years)... and being crabby while trying to keep the house clean is just being a mom to toddlers whose life mission is to make a mess. You also need to correct what you said about banks... they are more like evil alien robots. Best of luck finding a new home!!

We're looking at buying a house right now too, such a stressful thing! We have four kids also, its hard to find a good deal when you NEED so many bedrooms, ya know?! Good luck and best wishes to you!
And seriously about Downton Abbey, when we finished watching season 2 I went through withdrawals I was so depressed! haha

I refuse to watch Downtown abbey, I just don't have any time in my life right now for a new addiction, and I hear it is an addiction...I wish you all the best with that, if it's anything like my addiction to Revenge....you'll be thinking about it all day and night, wondering when you'll get your next viewing... :)..p.s your house is lovely...I will cross my fingers and toes and wish for a new home to come your way...preferably one with some spunk...like your old house, but bigger.x

And you just got your girlie room! Here's to finding a new room perfect for Davy and all the boys in her life.

I love Downton Abbey too ... to bide the time until Season 3, I'll be watching the BBC's Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth over and over.

Congrats on selling your home! And congrats on making 900sf work for your family of 6! That's a huge accomplishment in and of itself! I'm excited to say that we're going to be doing the same…selling our house. I'm even more excited because we're moving BACK into the house that I grew up in! Lots of room to grow in this house, and a big yard for the kiddos (and a pool!!). Thanks for your comment the other day! ;-) Love catching up with you!

Love love love Downton. It makes me want to wear pretty clothes that someone has to dress me in. I also want to talk with a cool accent while dressing for dinner.
